Public API
The Leexi public API endpoint, its authentication, its limits and the plan that includes it.
Definition: The public API lets your own tools read and write Leexi data (calls, meeting events, users, teams, company) with an API key created in
Settings > Advanced > API Keys. It is included from the AI Meeting plan; a company without this plan gets an access denied error on every request.Endpoint
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Base URL | https://public-api.leexi.ai/v1/ |
| Route documentation | Public API reference |
| Format | JSON in and out |
| Pagination | page and items parameters on lists, 10 items per page by default, from 1 to 100 (any other value falls back to 10) |
Authentication
Each request carries an Authorization: Basic <signature> header, where the signature is the Base64-encoded value of key ID:secret, in other words standard HTTP Basic authentication with the key ID as username and the secret as password. The secret is only shown when the key is created.
| Response | Cause |
|---|---|
| 401 | Missing header or unknown key. |
| 402 | The company's subscription is inactive. |
| 403 | The plan does not include the public API, or the key lacks the required scope. |
| 429 | Request limit exceeded. |
Request limits
| Scope | Limit |
|---|---|
| All routes, per API key | 50 requests per minute |
| Launching the assistant, per API key | 50 requests per hour |
What the key sees
The key's scopes decide which routes are accessible; its access rules decide which calls are returned. Both are detailed in API key scopes.
