Proton Meet
Who is this for?
- All users who organize or attend meetings on Proton Meet, Proton's end-to-end encrypted videoconferencing tool.
Permissions and licenses
- License required: depending on your plan, check availability in Settings > General > Integrations.
- No Proton account is needed: the assistant joins the meeting as a guest.
How to use it
Activate a calendar integration
Activate the Google Calendar or Outlook integration from Integrations. Leexi then automatically sends the assistant to record your Proton Meet meetings.
Share the full meeting link
Paste the full invitation link, of the form https://meet.proton.me/join/id-ABCD1234#pwd-secret42, in the description or location of the event. The #pwd-… part contains the meeting key: without it, the assistant cannot get in.
Let the assistant join your meetings
As soon as a Proton Meet link is in a calendar event, the event is automatically treated as a Proton Meet meeting and the assistant is sent to record it.
Admit the assistant if your meeting has a waiting room
If the waiting room is disabled, the assistant joins on its own. If it is enabled, the assistant asks to join and waits up to 9 minutes: admit it so it can start recording. Proton Meet cancels an unanswered request after 5 minutes; the assistant then sends a new one.
Going further
Pausing the recording
You can pause the recording from the assistant by typing /pause in the meeting chat, then /resume to resume it. The assistant confirms the pause and resume in the chat.
Things to watch out for
- A link without its
#pwd-…part, or with a wrong one, does not let the assistant in: the meeting's card showsThe meeting link or ID provided was invalid. - Proton Meet cannot be hosted on another domain: only
meet.proton.melinks are detected.
